As the United States and its allies enter into open conflict with Iran, many conservatives and commentators are celebrating the escalation. But before cheering on war, Christians and people of principle should pause and ask a deeper question: is this war just?

In this video, Brian Holdsworth examines the sudden escalation with Iran through the lens of Christian moral reasoning, just war theory, and the character of modern political leadership. He questions whether the modern liberal political order, one that claims to prioritize freedom, has actually produced leaders capable of exercising moral authority over decisions of war and peace.

Looking at the contrast between modern political elites and leaders shaped by older traditions of virtue ethics, this video asks whether our current system rewards power without responsibility and whether ordinary people are the ones who ultimately pay the price.
