My friend Soyeong (소영) and I tried eating Cheonggukjang (청국장), a thick soup made from fermented soybeans. It’s famous for its off-putting smell (it smells like socks), but how’s the taste? This is a dish very few (if any) travelers to Korea will experience, and I found out the reason why.
