Sony has been doing a pretty good job removing a lot of shovelware from the PlayStation Store on PS5 for the last year. Thousands of low effort asset flip games have been delisted and the developers banned. But there was always a concern that this new policy might get enforced where it shouldn't be. And now we have one developer claiming their games will be removed and PlayStation isn't saying why. So let's go over the news and talk about their games and what might be going on. I can stand by Retro Highway! That was a fun, brief Platinum. And it's definitely better if you wear a leather jacket during it too. Clearly.

This week kicked off with more next-gen PS6 rumors where were hearing the console is going to be manufactured in early to mid 2027. Which does sound about right but it still poses the question; is it too soon? Well in the meantime we also have the PS Plus Extra & Premium October lineup, and it looks pretty solid! Sony also responded to Tencents motion to dismiss the lawsuit against them. They are NOT having it. They even want to block the game entirely before a judgement! Thats a description exclusive since that news came in last minute. Elsewhere throughout the week we have some news for Bluepoint Games, San Diego Studio, Wolverine, and Ghost of Yotei. Lets not forget our third party news stories for FFVII Remake Part 3, Battlefield 6, and Ubisoft. Yup, just a lot going on as per usual. Also, I am tired folks. Very tired. The past few days theres been a growing issue with PS5 and PS4 which is a newly discovered 30 day DRM restriction thats now in place for newly purchased digital games. Any PlayStation 5 digital games that were bought since late March now have a hidden 30 day expiration date unless you can stay connected to PSN. PS4 will show the expiration when checking a games information on the UI. And if you were to remove the CMOS battery, you can validate that the expiration timer is enforced as your new games stop working. Everyone is wondering if Sony will say something about this, and in the meantime were hearing this might be intentional. Lets break this bad boy down, and hopefully I dont expire anytime soon. Im hoping I got another solid 60 years ahead of me.
