The twisting echo set from grasp of avarice can make tangles hit 350% harder, and that does include whirling maelstrom! So with this armour set bonus Yearning Echo active you can make tangle nukes. And theres even ways to bypass the tangle cooldown now, like Service of Luzaku or the artifact mod Vile Weave.
