Welcome back to Tech Friday! Today we're ditching Windows in the living room and building our very own custom console—the "Gabe Cube". Which is of course a reference to the new Steam Machine coming up. We are taking some spare parts, throwing them onto a unique wireframe case, and installing Bazzite to see if a DIY SteamOS machine can actually replace a PS5 on the couch.
We cover exactly why Windows isn't the best choice for a TV setup, how to easily install Bazzite, and even how to fix some weird AMD Polaris HDR bugs. Plus, we test out how it handles games natively and through Proton.
