In this video I tell Frank about my previous day hiking up to Widgery Cross on Brat Top, Great Links Tor and Sourton Tors on Dartmoor. I stopped near Lydford in a car park near Dartmoor Inn for a view of the peaks, and proceeded to The Highwayman Inn at Sourton to see Sourton Tours.
This all probably seemed a bit random, but it's the lead up to my neighbour informing me that dear ole Frank had recently suffered a stroke.
In 2020 there was some building work going on next door and when I emerged from my front door, I heard someone say "Saddlebags". That was Frank - and that was the first time I'd been recognised from my YouTube channel. Lovely bloke - he said he could sit down with a cuppa tea and just listen to Ernie tick over.
Turns out Frank is a frequent viewer and his son in law asked my neighbour to ask me if I could give him a mention. It's the least I could do.
