Dear subscribers, one and all,
The phoenix riseth. After three long years of silence, two in lockdown, your correspondent emerges, bloodied, but unbowed, hundreds of PBS videos and a brutal pandemic having taken their long-term toll.
There is, however, life in the old dog yet. We have been dormant, not dead; and in the difficult interregnum, there have been books to catch up with, decisions to take, and changes afoot that prompt this brief report.
In deference to distance, age and offspring flying the coop, we have reached the sad conclusion, eighteen years in, that our much-loved manse in Nova Scotia, the site of all our videos, should be put up for sale (q.v. below), and that we return to the mainland.
It is, however, our intent to resume our missives, if not our videos, in the interim. We have a rich crop of potential reviews in the hopper that will bear fruit in the fullness of time.
Until then, those of you who have stayed the course are thanked for their astonishing patience. Those who have not are welcome to drop us a line, and their names will be promptly removed.
