Bulletproofing the ACL: Part 4 | ACL Injury Prevention & Knee Stability Training

This exercise targets ACL injury prevention by improving knee stability, hip internal rotation, and ankle dorsiflexion, key components of safe knee flexion and rotation.

Training these mechanics activates the glutes, hamstrings, calves, and VMO (quadriceps) so the body can control knee movement instead of placing excessive load on the ACL. This is a critical but often-missed pattern in ACL rehab, return-to-sport training, and long-term knee health.

Developing control around the knee reduces valgus stress, improves movement efficiency, and helps athletes build resilience for cutting, decelerating, and change-of-direction tasks.
