This may be one of the most beautiful pieces of stone I’ve ever flintknapped.

In this video, I take a heat treated spall of stunning Pinhead Coral and work it from start to finish into a classic Kirk Corner Notch point. With its incredible fossil patterns, rich amber color, and amazing translucency, this material almost looks too beautiful to touch—especially when backlit.

Watch the entire flintknapping process, from the first thinning flakes to the final pressure flaking and notches, as this remarkable stone transforms into a finished artifact-inspired point.
