In this video I use a couple of rental tools to remove my original rear axle bearings from my 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4x4.
These tools, the bearing puller and slide hammer, are crucial to being able to effectively pull the old axle bearings without damaging the axle. Once removed, I installed the new bearing and seal using an installer tool that is also crucial to not damage the parts as they are driven in.
Because of these specialty tools I was able to efficiently and effectively replace the rear axle bearings without issue. The rental tools can then be returned to the parts house for a full refund. How cool is that?
