In this video I replace the upper ball joint on my GMT800 2003 Chevrolet Suburban k1500. The original ball joint from the factory had 125k miles on it so I figured, for preventative maintenance, I better replace it.
The replacement went quick and easy due to having the right tool for the job. That tool was the Maddox (Harbor Freight) Ball Joint Press Kit. I did rent a ball joint press kit but it just didn’t have all the necessary options needed for this job. The Maddox kit worked beautifully.
