An Itasca County employee nominated his own manager for a national award — and the story behind it is one worth hearing. 🎖️

At this week's county board meeting, Duane Dockter was honored with the ESGR Patriot Award for his continued support of employee Foster Thompson's service in the Army Reserve — from covering responsibilities during military assignments to checking in on what Foster needed to succeed, both in his civilian job and the Army.
