Honor Singleton has taken the “little gods” doctrine to another level.

There is a major difference between being created in the **image of God**, being adopted as a **child of God**, and claiming that you possess deity yourself. Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly distinguishes Himself from His creation. Yet teachings that blur that distinction continue to show up in certain prophetic, Word of Faith, and prosperity circles.
We’ll compare Singleton’s statements with Scripture, discuss passages such as Psalm 82 and John 10, and explain why simply quoting “you are gods” without considering the context can lead to some dangerous theology.
