In this video, we examine a recurring pattern in Todd Hall’s ministry: **financial prophecies, money-focused declarations, and offering moments that can come across as spiritual pressure rather than biblical giving.** Again and again, the message seems to circle back to finances—money is coming, a financial breakthrough is coming, wealth is being released—and then an offering follows.
At some point, serious questions have to be asked.
Why are so many of the prophecies about money? Why do financial promises seem to appear so often around offering time? And why are people made to feel as though their response to the offering is somehow connected to whether they believe the prophetic word?
The Bible does not teach that prophets exist to continually forecast financial windfalls for believers. Biblical prophecy calls people to truth, repentance, obedience, encouragement, and faithfulness to God. It should never become a tool for manipulating people into giving.
One of the biggest problems is the **gaslighting that can happen during offerings**. Instead of simply allowing people to give freely, congregants may be portrayed as fearful, disobedient, stingy, lacking faith, or unwilling to trust God if they hesitate to give.
But Scripture says giving should be voluntary:
**“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7**
That is very different from making someone feel spiritually inferior because they did not respond to a particular dollar amount.
