StrucciMovies | THIS IS OUR LADIE'S NIGHT INTRO VIDEO (read the description) @StrucciMovies | Uploaded 7 years ago | Updated 1 hour ago
So Devon and I are involved with a monthly sketch comedy and stand-up show in Atlanta called Ladie's Night. Every month the hosts do an intro video and two sketches. The past couple of months they asked some groups who had participated in the sketch competition before to do intro sketches for them. This is what we did. This was put together to be part of their live show so it references the show and the hosts and etc. It also contains violence/strong language/some real weird stuff so viewer discretion is advised.
Here is an example of their videos. It's good to at least skim this youtube.com/watch?v=vp5nTbiiOrI or this youtube.com/watch?v=-UPESO3CCsk for context as it will make a lot more sense since we are playing off their format.
THERE WILL BE A LONGER CUT OF THIS. We had to cut like four or five sketches and cut some of the sketches in half. I might incorporate some of their stuff at the beginning too for context. I just wanted to share the cut made for the live show because I'm really proud of it.
The sketches were written by me, Devon, Graham Edwards, and Mandal. There is an additional sketch by Jake Brannon that will be in the extended cut. For the most part we wrote what we each pitched though it was a collaborative effort overall. The original cut of this was 15 minutes long and the final cut in a few weeks(?) will probably be closer to that.
Graham and Mandal are Atlanta comics and they're both really good and you can see them around Atlanta/Athens at shows. Jory did the theme song. You can see his and Mandal's podcast here soundcloud.com/clownschool/ep-1-sisqo-is-a-clone-1 and his twitter here twitter.com/bathmansoclean and here's Mandal twitter.com/TheMandalMan .
The Ladie's Night guys are great. Here they are youtube.com/channel/UCVyT9gcX8RcIadwZKIePXjA and here twitter.com/WhyLadiesNight and here http://whyladiesnight.com
Most of the music/SFX is from incompetech and freesound
Thanks for watching! More video essays are always in the works but I like shooting and editing weird comedy stuff too
