Wheat harvest is underway, but day two definitely doesn't go exactly as planned! We battle huge straw windrows that are giving the baler trouble, fight through some difficult down wheat, and deal with GPS and ISOBUS problems on the combine.
Then, just when things start getting dialed in, we have a major header breakdown that brings harvest to a stop. Thankfully, Agri Service is able to get us a replacement shaft and we’re back cutting wheat later that day.
Despite the breakdowns and slow going, the wheat is yielding well, and we keep pushing into the evening to get as much harvested as possible before the dew sets in.
