Today we're cutting second crop hay... and putting the new swather to the test! This 250-acre field has three pivots, hand lines everywhere, rough ground, wild oats, mainline leaks, and even a couple of close calls with getting stuck. But with fresh blades, GPS steering, and speeds pushing nearly 18 MPH, this machine absolutely flies!

Along the way we talk about crimping hay for faster drying, why this new seeding is different from our other fields, battling wild oats, opening up pivots, and seeing just how much wear one long day can put on a brand-new set of blades. Plus, Idaho throws us a 102° heat wave and finishes the day with one incredible sunset.
