We spent New Year’s Eve in Baguio City and documented the entire day — from morning until after midnight.
We started the day at the market, buying groceries for the big feast. Jonah divided the tasks among her siblings while we picked up fresh vegetables. Everyone came back from the market and the men began preparing the dishes in an improvised outdoor kitchen. I absolutely love this style of cooking — simple, social, and full of life.
As night fell, the cooking continued. We quickly took the motorbike to get drinks while the kids played games. Slowly, the whole family gathered together for the last dinner of 2025. Everyone did their best and the food turned out absolutely delicious.
After dinner, the exchange gift games started — and I ended up with some very yummy chocolates 😄
Time passed quickly as we got closer to midnight.
Then the moment arrived to say goodbye to 2025 and welcome the new year with fireworks, noise, laughter, and family all around us. The night went on and on.
