The Boss DS-1 is easily one of the most legendary distortion pedals ever built, but in this video, it's getting significantly bigger. I managed to get my hands on a literal giant-sized, fully functioning DS-1 clone sent over by a custom builder from Thailand. I honestly plugged this thing in expecting a hilarious joke, but it completely shocked me by kicking the absolute butt of my vintage 1983 Boss DS-1 and even the Waza Craft version. It is fatter, louder, and holds way more harmonic richness... to the point where I think there might actually be a hidden DS-2 circuit buried inside this massive orange box.
