We're unboxing the all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in the stunning Violet Shadow colorway, and first impressions are already impressive. This is Samsung's new top-tier foldable, and the "Ultra" branding this time is meant to clearly separate the wider Ultra fold experience from the standard Galaxy Z Fold8.
What's in the Box
Inside the box you get a SIM ejector pin, booklets, a Type C to Type C cable, and the phone itself wrapped in protective film on both the outer and inner screens.
Design and Build
The Violet Shadow finish looks premium right out of the box. Once the inner screen film comes off, the crease is barely noticeable you can't really feel it or see it at this stage, though it will likely become more visible with daily use over time. The form factor itself is a step up from the regular Fold8, and in hand, the phone feels genuinely durable and refined. It's slim, well-built, and the overall foldable quality from Samsung keeps improving with every generation.
