In this video, we cover a complete review of the POCO M8 Power, going through the battery, display, performance, camera, software and connectivity in full detail. The standout feature is the 8000 mAh battery, something very few phones in this segment currently offer. It comes with 45W fast charging support, and the 45W charger is included in the box at no extra cost. There is also 22.5W reverse charging on board, which lets you use the phone to charge other devices, essentially turning it into a power bank when needed.
On design, the phone weighs 225 grams and measures just 8.4mm in thickness, which is well managed considering the size of the battery packed inside. The back panel is made of polycarbonate and the phone is available in multiple colour options including Orange. For protection, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on the display.
The display itself is a 6.83 inch AMOLED panel with Full HD Plus resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 1800 nits, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and TUV eye protection certification. An in display fingerprint sensor is also included, which is considered a premium touch at this price point. There is a single bottom firing speaker, and the phone does not have a 3.5mm audio jack.
For performance, the POCO M8 Power runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, which scored around 621000 on AnTuTu in our testing, a solid result for daily use and casual gaming. The review unit comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. The phone supports dual nano SIM and is 5G ready.
On the camera front, there is a 50MP dual AI camera setup with an f/1.8 aperture main sensor. The front camera is 8MP for selfies and video calls. There is no wide angle lens, and video recording tops out at 1080p, with portrait mode also supported.
On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 based HyperOS 3.0, and POCO has committed to 4 years of Android updates along with 6 years of security updates, which is impressive at this price segment. Some preloaded apps come installed but can be removed easily. Extra features include an IR blaster that lets you control your TV, fan or AC like a remote. On connectivity, the phone supports dual band WiFi and multiple 5G bands.
