One of the coolest things that the mass adoption of ebikes in North America has done for bicycles is "resetting" the perception of bicycles for the average person.
Because up until just a few years ago, "cycling" was misconstrued in many places as "hardcore, spandex-clad road bike racing"...
But ebikes swung in and made it "okay" to just get around on a comfortable, upright bicycle with storage racks... and replace many (or all) car trips with bike trips!
Skip that traffic, get that daily exercise, get better sleeps, save money, save the planet.
