Can a Christian truly be “in Christ” and still be cut off?
In John 15, Jesus describes Himself as the true vine — and then gives one of the strongest warnings in the New Testament: branches in Him that do not bear fruit are taken away, wither, and are thrown into the fire.
So does this destroy “Once Saved Always Saved”? Does obedience play a real role in remaining saved? Or is this just about false converts who were never truly connected to Christ in the first place?
In this video, I walk through John 15, respond to the “works salvation” objection from @NeedGodnet , and explain why obedience is necessary for salvation without denying that we are saved by grace.
