Guinness Irish Stout into chocolate cake... yes I want. In all it's damp blackness. The English Domestic Goddess, Nigella Lawson, apparently has THE recipe for this. So, I shall investigate this for this year's St. Paddy’s day!

Nigella Lawson's Chocolate Guinness Cake from the Feast cookbook
Ingredients
250 ml (1 cup) Guinness
250 g (1 cup + 2 tbsp) unsalted butter
75 g (¾ cup) cocoa powder
400 g (2 cups) fine sugar
142 ml (½ cup + 1 tbsp) sour cream
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
275 g (2¼ cups) all-purpose flour
2½ tsp baking soda
Topping
300 g (10½ oz) Philadelphia cream cheese
150 g (1¼ cups) powdered sugar
125 ml (½ cup) heavy cream
