Owners Fifi Bell-Clanton and Gwen Woods say The Crabby Shack faces several problems in 2026. First, the neighborhood has changed dramatically over the last decade, and many of their most loyal customers have moved elsewhere. Rising food and energy costs have also dogged the business. Then when you add in a brutal winter, plus the high percentages taken by food delivery services, the situation starts to look dire.
