At Pizza Pub in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, the Big Kahuna pizza challenge gives you one hour to finish a massive 5.5 lb, 20-inch pizza. Challengers must choose one meat or two veggie toppings, must remain at the table for the duration, and can only drink water during the challenge. If successful, the restaurant writes out a $200 check to you, and you'll go up on their Wall of Fame.
I went in wearing the Michelangelo hoodie, green peppers and onions as my topping choice, and a whole group of college friends were there to watch. I'd done my homework and knew other food fighters who had beaten this challenge recently. I had every reason to feel confident, but this food adventure took many twists and turns I did not expect!
