Is the HLK-LD2450 the ultimate 24GHz presence sensor for your next DIY smart home build? In this video, we put this affordable millimeter-wave radar to the ultimate test to see what it can really do!
Welcome back to ThatProject! Today, we are taking the LD2450 out of the lab and into the real world. We’ll cover the crucial antenna orientation mistake you need to avoid, test its fast-object tracking capabilities at a local indoor skatepark, and answer the ultimate question: Can a 24GHz signal penetrate solid wood doors and drywall?
While it works way better than expected for the price, it does have a few quirks you need to know about before hooking it up to your ESP32. Let's dive in!

The most used image format in the MCU environment is probably JPEG. The JPEG decoder used to draw this on the screen is very important. Lets compare the two most popular JPEG decoders.

e-Paper Display consumes power only when updating the screen, and displays the last screen as is even when the power is turned off. This can have tremendous benefits in IoT projects. In a battery-powered system, you can use the system for a very long time. I plan to continue looking for projects that utilize this if possible.
