e-Paper Display consumes power only when updating the screen, and displays the last screen as is even when the power is turned off. This can have tremendous benefits in IoT projects. In a battery-powered system, you can use the system for a very long time. I plan to continue looking for projects that utilize this if possible.

What if the Dragon Ball Radar was real?
In Dragon Ball, Bulma built the Dragon Radar to track down the legendary Dragon Balls. Obviously, they don’t exist in real life… but I thought it’d be fun to make my own version using an ESP32!
In this video, I’ll show you how I turned my local map project into a working “Dragon Ball Radar.” It runs on the ESP32-P4 with a 7-inch round display, loads offline map data from an SD card, and even marks GPS target nodes on the map — just like in the manga.
This is still a work-in-progress, but the basics are working! Next step, I might add a physical button to cycle through targets, and maybe even send live GPS data between devices using LoRa or ESP-Now.
