During the itinerary, we visit the Simien Mountains, and on past trips we have seen the spectacular thick-billed Raven (Corvus crassirostris).
This amazing bird has a massive bill which is uses to scavange. It is often seen eating rodents and bits of meat.
The tick-billed raven is so called, because its bill is the largest of any passerine at 8–9 cm (3.1–3.5 in) in length.
