They already power creeped it. Last season we got Solemn Remembrance, a stasis hand cannon that got the unique and very powerful perk combination of firefly and headstone, making each precision kill create a stasis crystal, then explode to immediately shatter that crystal for a big burst of damage. But with the launch of Renegades, we now have access to the B-7 Pistol, another stasis hand cannon that gets this same roll but it also gets better alternate perks like demolitionist, rimestealer, cooling baubles, and crystalline corpsebloom, so if you get a good tier 5, you could swap to these perks depending on your build. It’s also a blaster, which means it runs on the heat system, so you can press reload to cool it down or swap to another weapon and let it cool itself off, basically giving it pseudo auto loading holster without taking up a perk slot.
