If it is the case that the OP finds it hard, there may be conflicting beliefs fighting in her head at once, that may be described as cognitive dissonance. On the one hand, she may believe that they should be looked after, and have their interests met. On the other, she may reject their interests to gather what she’d want from their existence. If both of these views are trying to take space in her mind, it may feel hard. But we mustn’t forget who it’s hardest for - the animal of whom we refuse to acknowledge is even a victim of choices that mean their lives aren’t morally considered. #hunting #fy #vegan
