Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television series chronicling the adventures of a humanoid alien who travels throughout time and space. First airing in 1963, the show has been accompanied by a delightful soundtrack supplied by a long list of talented composers. Tonight's medley pays homage to the latest Doctor Who composer and sole composer of the revived series, Murray Gold, with three themes: "I am the Doctor," the enigmatic theme of the Eleventh Doctor; "Rose's Theme," which appeared in Gold's first Doctor Who episode; and the classic title theme, which, along with the show, has survived five decades of evolution and rearrangements.
