STORY

Hidden behind overgrown hedges in a quiet Belgian village, we found a family home where time simply stopped. Going through the documents left behind, we pieced together the story of Albert and Leopoldine — a strict father with a military past, and a mother who spent twenty-five years caring for the sick of her village. Together they raised one son, Matthias, a boy whose whole world was music — a passion his father never understood, and never accepted. Somewhere in the early 2000s, Matthias left. Not just the house, but the country — and he never came back. His parents kept his room exactly as he left it, waiting for a return that never came. After they passed away, the house was simply left behind, his room still untouched after more than twenty years. Come inside with us and walk through what remains.
