Bots have been one of RuneScape's biggest problems for really almost forever. Theyre an annoyance to both Jagex staff and legitimte players. Since a bot is just a computer program playing the game for the account owner it devalues the accomplishments of high leveled players and lowers the value of resources that players grind hours obtaining. So it would make sense for Jagex to ban them right. It turns out that there was a period where you could do just about anything in RuneScape, mainly botting, and even if Jagex was aware of it, you wouldn't get banned. Lets dive in to it.
