Pest Control is one of the greatest RuneScape minigames of all time, but when it first released it caused a massive rift in the community. High level players called low level players leeches. Low level players fired back with a name that would stick for years. And while this was all going on, the minigame gave a broken amount of combat XP to everyone who played it. When Jagex finally tried to fix all these issues, they made everyone even more upset than before. This is the story of Pest Control, the minigame that united players against monsters, and divided them against each other.
