The Yakuza (1974) was a critical failure and box-office flop. Or, in the gospel according to Tony, it is a prominent work of underappreciated brilliance. I can’t agree with anyone who thinks differently because that would make both of us wrong. I got standards you know. Low, yes, but I got ‘em.
