All parts of the dramatic reading will be uploaded when they are finished being edited. I will only be reading the Prologue and Chapter 1; Chapter 2 has not been completed yet.
Chapter 1 will be broken up into eight parts.

Prologue

This was it.

No regrets

No turning back

I had to do this

Not only for us, but for everyone

I stared down the barrel, looking through the cross hairs. I still didn't believe that I was about to do this. But this wasn't something I could back out of. They were depending on me to do this. She was depending on me to do this. And most importantly, I was depending on me to do this.

My finger tightened on the trigger.

What if I was wrong?

What if this was all a misunderstanding, a mistake?

I couldn't think like that. This was something that had to be done without doubting myself. He'd done something that couldn't be forgiven. Betrayed not only me, but her. And everyone else, for that matter. He had to pay, and this would suffice the price.

I began to pull the trigger, slowly. The doubts were still there, and I couldn't bring myself to pull it all the way. I was paralyzed halfway, balanced between his death and his life. He'd been there for us, for her, for me. How could I go through with this?

I began to shudder. All my doubts were hitting me full on now.

How could I go through with this?

Then my reasons came to push the doubts away.

The look on her face, the realization, the betrayal.

I couldn't let him live.

I looked one last time into the cross hairs.

This was it.

I pulled the trigger.
