Today, I'm back in the Liberty and working on improving the look of the front overhead cabinet eyesore after successfully installing the TV. The Cruise Air A/C air handler intake grill is an artistic creation from Liberty common on most Liberty's of this era, but after decades has broken and worn out. I decided to re-build it using a decent color match plexiglass, but to make sure it has more strength and can be removed easier than Liberty designed so that the air filter can be clean and inspected. Most of the hardware came from the local big box home store, but I did order the plexiglass and hopefully built more confidence as I will likely need to add more plexiglass and laminate surfaces as the build goes along.
