What would the world really look like if women ran everything?
For years, that's the question we’ve heard women ask. The one where the answer is that a female-led society would be more peaceful, compassionate, tolerant and inclusive.
There'd be less violence. Less discrimination. Less tribalism. Fewer power struggles.
and then ten there’s the WNBA.
In this video, I use the WNBA as a real-world case study to examine that feminist utopian argument. From the physical confrontations involving Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, to racial controversies, Dearica Hamby’s discrimination allegations, and the league’s growing battle over transgender participation in women’s sports, reality looks considerably messier than the sales brochure.
I'll show how aggression, prejudice, competition, tribalism, hypocrisy and the pursuit of power aren't uniquely male characteristics but human ones.
And we'll show how replacing a so-called patriarchy with a matriarchy doesn't magically eliminate human nature. It simply changes who holds the power.
