The latest Witcher 3 patch, 4.02, improves performance on high-end PCs. The standard rendering modes no longer tank your FPS, and the "performance" setting in the raytracing options now makes RTX ON a viable prospect for those of us without 4090 GPUs. The situation is night and day compared to December 2022: in fact, we'd say that it's in an acceptable place now. But... have the gains really been worth all this effort?
