I keep getting asked what design software I use and didn't have a good answer up to now. I have been using obsolete programs and trying Fusion, Free Cad, and several others the last couple years. Fusion 360 scared me when they ended the free version and I lost everything stored on their cloud so I definitely wanted a local version. Well the one I finally purchased is Alibre Atom and it is a lifetime license. I also bought the Meshcam package for my CNC router instead of going with Vcarve along with a year of updates and support. This is a quick look using it for my next wood project and how simple it is to use. There is a free trial you may want to try if it looks like it will work for you.
