Today, I start my day by running the Brooklyn Pride 5k with a group of coworkers. My time was not impressive but I had fun. After I finished that, showered, and ate a delicious New York bagel, I headed to Manhattan to meet up with my friend Ashton. We visited a contemporary art installation in the Standard Hotel. It was made by Lucy Sparrow, an artist from the UK, and is titled: Late 'Till 8. The installation is a super accurate replica of a NYC bodega completely made out of felt. Lucy made everything by hand and most of the stuff in the store is for sale. After we left there, we decided on a whim to check out the Samsung 837 store. It is an experience location where you can try out a ton of experimental and groundbreaking technology that Samsung is developing. There are many different VR experiences as well as a few interactive displays of all their products across all of their product lines. We then got some Insomnia cookies, jammed a little at Guitar Center, and then parted ways.
