Today I head up to Central Park East to start at the beginning of NYC Summer Streets, where they shut down 8 miles of Park ave to cars and allow pedestrians to walk, run, or ride all the way down to Foley Square, near City Hall.
There are multiple "Rest Stops" along the way with food, safety events, fitness, live music, and much more. At the southern end is Vitacoco Beach, complete with palm trees, sand, and a giant water slide.
