The Copal model 222 is likely the smallest flip clock ever made and is certainly the smallest made by Copal.
Here you see it compared next to the Copal 227 - itself a small clock.
The clock first appeared in newspaper advertising in 1971 and was last seen in 1976.
Just think about that - this clock is about 50 years old!
The clock came in the colors white, charcoal grey, orange and citron green.
This clock is the "orange" version but as you can see, it's more of a red-orange than orange.
Strangely, while the numbers on the 222 are noticeably smaller than on the 227, the tiles themselves are actually the same size. The numbers are just printed smaller - weird.
Unlike the 227 the 222 is just a clock - no alarm.
Look I just noticed a typo in the brochure, it says None-alarm instead of non-alarm - weird.
Anyway. Internally, the clock is much different that most Copal clocks. The mechanism uses the plastic frame of the clock as part of its structure.
