ℹ️ A peaceful walk… turned into a night we’ll never forget.
We start the day with a full pilgrim family roll call—meet the group walking this journey with us—before heading out on a shorter stage through the quiet countryside of Lazio. This stretch between agriturismi is calm, scenic, and exactly what we needed… until everything changes.
We give you a full tour of our room at Agriturismo Il Bagolaro, then sit down for an incredible dinner next door that absolutely lives up to the hype.
But just as the day winds down, a powerful storm rolls in—and lightning strikes the mountainside across from us.
What happens next is hard to believe.
A wildfire ignites and begins spreading across the ridge. We watch it grow through the evening… and into the night… as flames consume much of the mountain.
This is one of the most intense and unforgettable moments we’ve experienced on the Way of St. Francis.
