ℹ️ In this episode of The Way of St. Francis, our group arrives in Greccio—one of the most meaningful stops along the Via di Francesco and the place where St. Francis created the first Nativity scene. From the moment we arrive, there’s a sense that this part of the journey is going to be different.
We explore the stunning Sanctuary of Greccio, perched high above the valley, and take in the history, the views, and the quiet that makes this place so special. One of the most powerful moments of the day is the Tau ceremony, a meaningful tradition that marks the beginning of the walk and connects us to centuries of pilgrims who have come before.
With packs prepped and anticipation building, we get ready to take our first steps on the path toward Rome.
