I was talking to my friend The VCR King on Facetime and I recorded that with my VCR. I have an iPad VGA adapter and a VGA to AV converter. For the sound there's a jack cable connected to my iPad earphone jack and it is plugged on my RCA VR683HF VCR audio inputs. I was talking to him but you don't hear me because it records the sound coming from my iPad, not from a microphone.
If you want to do that more easily you can use Wii U chat and record.
