I have been meaning to do this for a while now but finally I got around to it.
The gearbox saga is over! (just saying that makes me think I've just jinxed it...)
The van went to a specialist! and Despite them turning out to actually be a bit "Special" my van is back and is working again.
I also express my gratitude to so many of you that helped me out during all this, from the motivational comments, the help and technical advice, and the amazing guys that insisted on donating towards the gearbox. I did not ask but so many of you were willing to help and that was an amazing thing.
Then I go on to explain where I'm at now and my plans for the future now that I'm back in the UK for a while.

In this video I put into reality an Idea that follower @dom_van_builder suggested to me, Sinking Lances dog bowl into the door step.
My problem was that the dog bowls used to fly around the van when driving and I needed a solution to fixing them down.
The exterior skin of the step had warped and needed re-making anyway so it was the perfect opportunity to rip it all down, rebuild the frame and make the entrance and step area something special.
