Van Halen - Amsterdam | Riff Tutorial

This footage of Eddie playing this in the mid-80s probably while it was still in the writing stages. but this didn't become a fully-fledged song until Balance was released in 1995. From what I heard in a Dutch radio interview Sammy wrote the lyrics as an account of his experience in Amsterdam as a tourist and the Van Halen brothers met the lyrics with opposition with the view that the lyrics shamed their hometown.
