OMG!! I don’t even know where to start with this! I’m seriously beyond giddy and to the moon excited that I actually finished this project! I kid you not, I have been working on this for over a year!! A YEAR!! I have quite literally poured my heart and soul into every single second of this, determined NOT to cut the song short or abandon it completely. There have been days – no MONTHS – when I didn’t think I was ever going to finish and that it’d fall into the abyss with all my other unfinished projects but guess what?! I did! I FINISHED IT!! And it’s AMAZING!! And I am so happy that I can FINALLY share it with the world ^.^

I know that I am a few years late to the Delena vidding party but I have loved them since the show began. I vidded them once before briefly in season 2 but I have always longed to do a full-length proper tribute to them. They are in my top 5 OTPs after all! Unfortunately life gets in the way of hobbies sometimes and I took a long hiatus from YouTube in general but I’m back and trying to play catch up for all my time lost! I spent weeks listening to all my music trying to pick the best song to vid them to and every time this song came on, I could just hear their voiceovers and see their beautiful faces. Now I was hesitant at first to actually take this song on (the length alone is daunting) but I just couldn’t shake the idea. After all, their love is EPIC and so should the song I vid them to be, right?? So I opened FinalCut, pieced together the voiceovers I was hearing in my head and started on this crazy adventure. My desk has been scattered with post-its and the notes on my phone are flooded with all the bursts of inspiration I had for this…it’s INSANE! I watched SO many Delena videos to keep my motivation level high (which proved to be a nice way of catching up from my hiatus) and get ideas for the parts of the song I hadn’t mentally mapped out yet…I was determined not to let this project fall through the cracks!

Now this particular video will always hold a very special piece of my heart. As a select few of you know, I had a major health scare earlier this year and had to take a few months off to recover. While I was taking the time to heal, this project provided me with the escape I needed and really helped me power through the rough days which is why I owed it to this project to see it through til the end! I am happy to report that I am nearly 100% recovered and even happier to share this project with all of you :)

Voiceovers have never been my forte and have provided quite the challenge for me in the making of this video. I did my absolute best but I know some are harder to hear/understand than others. So I have transcribed all the ones I used which can be found in this google doc (I even included episode numbers and who said what in case you wanted to know):

I have also transcribed all the voiceovers in the closed captioning for this video. So if you prefer reading the text on the video, you can turn on the closed captioning and the quotes will appear as they're being said ^.^

Lastly, I have a few dedications I would like to make. First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to Emily (luvtheheaven5) for all the help in reviewing parts of this I needed feedback on and for the ongoing encouragement to finish it! Also, thank you for helping me get all the logoless episodes!! It made it look even more amazing!! I also need to dedicate this video to Marissa (meesa96). I’m not sure if she still goes on YouTube but she has wanted me to vid Delena since season 1 and now that I finally have (nearly 10 years later, lol), it’s only right that I dedicate this to her!! Hope she logs on and actually gets to see it! And a final dedication to all the WONDERFUL Delena fans and vidders out there!! Thank you all so much for making such beautiful vids that have helped inspire me to make my own :)
